TNF: Indianapolis Colts at the Houston Texans
Week 12 gets underway in Texas as two AFC South teams match-up. The two teams sit at 6-4, the Colts come off a home win against Jacksonville on Jacoby Brissett’s return to the team and the Texans come in after a heavy defeat against MVP front runner, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.
The Houston Texans have had an up and down season, with QB Deshaun Watson having an MVP like start to the season that has since cooled down. Having play-makers such as DeAndre Hopkins and Carlos Hype is all good but when you have an offensive-line as weak as the Texan’s, there’s only so much Watson can do on his own. This combined with several defensive injuries, including star DE JJ Watt means that Houston could become a team that roll over in the run into the play-offs. Its gonna be all on Watson in this one, get things going, unstoppable, don’t and there in big trouble.
Indianapolis come into this one in good fettle, with QB Brissett back and RB Marlon Mack hitting defences hard despite a fractured hand. The Colts have also been up and down all year, but it’s understandable considering this is a side that lost their starting QB and last seasons comeback player, Andrew Luck, two weeks before the season opener. The Colts are a young side but a balanced one and definitely a team that can be a real threat on their day. Look for the connection between Brissett and TE Eric Ebron to be pivotal in this one, alongside Indy getting that run game going.
This one could be a huge match-up in terms of who wins the division so it could be blow for blow in this game. Or the opposite, with TNF logic seems to go out the window. Gonna take Indianapolis in this 30-21, going on a limb there.
